North Essex Heritage has several ongoing projects, including restoring Jumbo, and we hope to take on new plans to protect other historic buildings. All this is expensive work for a small charity.

If you donate to North Essex Heritage’s funds, you’ll be supporting all our projects.

Bringing Jumbo back to life will cost around £7m and we plan to get most of this from grants, but the bulk of these have yet to be secured, so there is no guarantee The Jumbo Project will go ahead. North Essex Heritage have set a local fundraising target for The Jumbo Project of £2m by mid 2025. Jumbo has already been adopted as a £1.1m Towns Fund project and this has helped pay for a design team and project managers to develop our plans and ensure they are successful.

North Essex Heritage is grateful for all donations and fundraising for our current and future projects.

Please note our current funds and any donations received are not set aside for specific projects and may be used for any of the Trust’s work. Donations may not be used for The Jumbo Project and may be spent on other heritage projects in the area.
